This comic is intended to take place in the The Boys universe or Vought Cinematic Universe. Web Weaver already exists but I wanted a deeper exploration of what Peter Parker could be if we he was voughtified.

Peter Parker is the quintessential teen super hero. He is about standing up for social justice, struggling through puberty, juggling responsibilities and asking out girls. With these in mind, I wanted to make a variation of Spiderman that was the opposite. He is very Incel coded, raised by confederate sympathizing family, and his transformation is directly connected to his developing body.

I chose the word Spleen while looking up synonyms for the word Venom. Spleen, as a word, sounds very silly but is a word referring to someone with bad temper and a poor sense of humor. This both refers the personality of a socially isolated teenager and the general satirical edge of The Boys, which often holds no reservations in subjects it makes jokes about.

This first issue is just establishing Marty Miller as a character and showing how he got his powers.
